Window gaskets

Postby Woodbutcher » Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:00 pm

I have some windows I have salvaged out of an RV I found at the junkyard. The gaskets and weatherstripping has shrunk and is worn out. My question is have any of you rebuilt old windows and where do you get the new gasket materials ?

It would help to know what kind of windows you have. There are many types and different places to get your parts depending on what you have.

I redid the rubber on two salvaged jalousie windows, with parts from vintage trailer supply

If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

One is a small 8x14 jalousie window and the others are sliders I would like to use in my doors. I can post pics on Monday if it helps.

I would think any window repair shop would have what you want or to know where to get some.
