Scamming through PM on Teardrops & Tiny Travel Trailers

Postby Hillmann » Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:36 pm

A few weeks ago I got a PM from someone (don't want to name names in case I am wrong) that looked a lot like a scam, saying he was looking for a teardrop and had $3k to spend. He joined the same day he sent the message and has no posts in the forum. I just figured It was worth bringing to everyone's attention so no one ends up getting scammed.

Also if it is a scam (which I really think it is) they did there homework and did a better job of making it look legitimate compared to many other email scams.

Send the name to an admin...make sure you spell everything correctly and someone can check it out. If it smells fishy...we can block them if necessary...without the name...nothing can be done. Doug

Is there a flag or report feature for posts that could be activated?

Alot of forums have them.
