I gave my tent to my nephew last year after a trip to CA and the Pacific NW. First was that cold, cold night in Kansas in the tent, trying to put the tent up in a 30 mph wind. Then I tent camped in Seattle for 4 days/nights with a space heater running almost constantly. Two sleeping bags, a fleece sleeping bag, and a small dog with me on the cot. I kept warm enough, but I was just tired of bringing out all of the sleeping stuff and putting up that tent every night. I stayed in KOA Kabins and with friends for the rest of the trip home.
I knew I wanted a different way to camp. Hence the SideKick and now the Escaped2 TD. I had fun in the SideKick last summer, but I'm sure I'll be camping more in the Escaped2 this summer. Hopefully I bought enough electrical supplies today to keep me busy "electrifying" the Escaped2.
