Canadian Teardrop Parts Suppliers

Postby D.A.D. » Fri Apr 27, 2012 9:25 pm

Can anyone point me in the direction of a Supplier of Aluminum trim (in particular roof edge moulding) up here in Canada? I usually buy from Grant Whipp - good supplier and all, but the border bandits are driving me nuts. You order couple hundred dollars in mouldings and pay the bloody broker another $130 at delivery. The shipping costs are also getting extremely out of hand. Paying the Feds 12% in taxes should be enough. I have searched the web to no avail, but someone may know a trick to avert these dirty devils.

Smithers is a bit from the border or I would suggest picking it up yourself as I do. Most RV places sell the moulding but they will come in 16ft lengths and you will have to get a certain amount. Patrick

those border people SUCK!!!!!! I am lucky that I am only 1/2 hour from the border so when I start my build I can get some stuff, mainly Huricane Hinge sent to a member the other side and drive down and pick it up. I think the closest to you would be the Okanagon where numerous RV's are built

hey Slow, I know what you mean, our "New Canadians" are taking over the country. I can get practially all I need for the up and coming TD close to home, the exception being the Huricane hinge and I am sure I can also find the great fan you guys are using up here as well without having to go to the Bay, shipping is a killer
