1984 Play-Mor 15 foot Reno project question

Postby papmom35 » Mon May 21, 2012 9:34 pm

Hi All,
Call me silly or a dumb blonde but I have a real desire to get my 1984 Play-Mor renovated inside. The more I look at it and explore, the more I don't really like the floorplan. yes it has tons of storage but the gaucho bench unfolds to only twin size and the dinette turns into a bed not that much bigger. I feel like I have an aversion to sleeping in the front of the trailer right by the door anyway (even tho I haven't spent one night in it). I really don't need the wardrobe or the non functional sink and small counter. There is no room for the dog crates either. Since it has no stove/oven or fridge (I can remedy the fridge part but not sure I need one), what I'm really looking for is sleeping space, some storage and crate space as well as a wall AC unit. The shell and flooring are in good shape as far as everyone who has looked at it can tell. Before I put in the work of painting the cabinets, changing out the counter/sink, replacing the water lines/tank and recovering the cushions, I would really like to explore half gutting it and making it more the way I want.
Is there anyone in the Central MA area that anyone on here would recommend to do the work? I'd love to get an estimate to see if it's worth it or if I should just be happy with what I have and save up for a different unit in the next few years.

On the good news side my Jeep now has a hitch and wiring harness!! Whoo hoo!!

Thanks for any and all comments/advice/recommendations
