Postby GPW » Tue Jul 03, 2012 6:40 am

There are some really Great Vintage (old) plans in the Plans section , trailers from long ago .... but has anybody built one as stated to the plans , using the recommended materials ? ... Like Masonite , board floors ... not so plywood dependent on some ... Old School .... Apparently it worked ....

Many people have restored/totally rebuilt vintage teardrops back to original, using the old methods. When I read your question the thought that came up first is Ross Wade and his Runlight build. It's an inspiring project, beautifully crafted.

One of the plans (I forget which one) called for some "sheet asbestos" to be used for insulation in the area of the stove. Let me know if you find that at the local Ace Hardware. ;)
