Just got back from a quick overnight

Postby PKCSPT » Wed Aug 15, 2012 3:35 pm

Took the dog and ran up to Buffalo River state park in northern MN for a quick overnight. Nice weather fairly empty campground. Gotta love the ease and simplicity of the teardrop. I tucked back into corner spot and almost disappeared. A gentleman stopped by to see if he could take a picture of my car and camper. That was a first for me. Made sure he didn't get the lic plate and said go ahead.

Sounds like good times.

Teardropping...gotta love it! With a teardrop, one can make the decision to go camping during the last two hours of work, grab some ice and cold cuts on the way home, hitch it up, then hit the road. :D

Karen - not at all surprised that someone took pix - happens all the time. At least he asked! Most folks I've dealt with simply point and shoot! But I love telling them about Gertrude and about the forum here, so I don't complain.

Todah - hitching up at the drop of a hat is my goal. But first I have to get my own TV! Gertrude turned out to be heavier than my car can tow, so I have to borrow my daughter's minivan, which requires a few days warning. She's thinking of selling it to me. Hope she will, then I can just pack and go!!

I really need to re-retire one of these days.
