Teardrop for four?

Postby scotty_pac » Wed Oct 31, 2012 6:23 pm

Hello, I'm looking for a 5x10 teardrop for a growing family. Besides the Camp Inn Raindrop (5x10), has anyone seen any others that will sleep two adults and two small children?

Scott, You could have someone build The Campster 12, A 12ft family teardrop
Another idea might be to eliminate the foot board cabinets on a Benroy profile for 5' long bunks.:D Danny

The 2+2 in the design library up top is one you could consider. If you go to the Google sketchup models section of this forum, you will find a set of 3D views.

A couple under construction : viewtopic.php?t=33056 and viewtopic.php?f=50&t=45933

And a completed (modified version) : 92804 Wolfgang did a great job on this one.

Thanks. I like those ideas. I think the Benroy with a 5' bunk at the foot may work as I want to keep the trailer more on the teardrop side rather than the travel trailer type.

Alfred made a teardrop for 5, with a sliding bed that uses the galley space at night and slides in, out of the way, during the day:
