Just got mine in the mail today, and I like it. I broke down and ordered the grill, too, but it is coming seperately. I figure that I can heat dish water on the fire and get some use as well as pleasure out of it. I think I am not going to bother wrapping up the logs.. too much work. i'll just be careful with carrying it. But one question.. is there a special way to place the logs? I haven't seen anything in the instructions that addresses that.

Took them out and unwrapped them... two have holes to go on the pegs, but how should they be arranged???

The big one (with the pegs) goes in the middle. Then the two semi-circular ones (the ones without the holes) go on either side, sitting on the ceramic base on the outside of the ring. Then the ones with the holes go on their pegs, artfully arranged so that they top off the whole thing. Have fun!

I have had mine since 2010 and had no clue they even made a grill!

It's listed as a cook top rather than a grill, but it allows you to cook over the campfire. Amazon seems to be the best place to get it http://www.amazon.com/Camco-58033-Littl ... B004RNRAWW

Think I'll have to break down and order one. It even comes with a handy storage bag!

My little propane tank just showed up at Lowe's. The guy at U-haul purged it for me for free, then filled it up at a cost of $3.41. He fit just under a gallon into it, but I think he was being a little conservative. It holds the equivalent of a little more than 4 of the disposable 1 lb bottles. I figure it will pay for itself after 5 or 6 refills... :)

Problem! My little campfire, used once, is flaking all the black paint off amd there is rust underneath the paint! I threw out the box it came in, but still have the official LRCF box.... :( Guess Inwill be calling their customer service line tomorrow, and see if they will send me a replacement for the base. We had a great time using it last night when we camped overnight at a friend's house. Everyone enjoyed it. But the base and tray shouldn't be losing all its paint the second time it is used!! (The first time was just to try it out...>

p.s. is there a gauge or something that one can use to tell how much propane remains in a propane tank? I know I could weigh the empty tank, then way it full, but I forgot to do that when it was empty....

They make a guage that goes in the tank valve. Then the hose to your campfire/bbq/whatever hooks to the other side. Find it with the barbeque stuff at hardware stores and out door stores (bass pro, cabelas, etc.).

hammerhead products make a great gauge that goes on the side of your tank.
Lee Valley tools carries them, item no AD402. Works much better than the ones that are attached to the valve.

here is the url: http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/page.aspx?p=55008&cat=2,40733,40996,55008
