Confused...

Did anyone else receive "A Letter from Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis"?
I've been to the local Camping World location only twice and never left an email address with them. Is it possible that they could have got my email through this forum?
I never paid them with a credit card, only cash & haven't joined their club....

Did Marcus ask you, "What kind of coach do you have?" That seems to be the first thing most Camping World employees ask, and if you don't have a coach they treat ya like a roach. 8)

There does seem to be a great deal of Snobbery in the RV " industry " .... They outright refer to my TT as "lower end" and "disposable "... I find that depressing , especially since they were so friendly Before the sale ...

All about the money ... as per usual ...

No Steve, he only wanted feedback on service or problems with any products sold....especially.."Coaches"...lol..

I don't think it's a scam however just a little PR campaign...
He's offering a $10 buck off coupon for just emailing him back with feedback relating to customer service.

I'll call Camping World Headquarters today and find out if this is reality.

I just don't know how my email came into play....weird..

The CW in Indianapolis has a couple of highly overpriced Teardrops for sale, made by a local artisan as I was told. The fit & finish of the two tears is downright horrible and the choice of interior lumber & hardware is terrible. Those TD's have been sitting in the showroom for about a year.

We only buy simple camp stuff when its on sale there. I would never buy a RV from them..

Tim,
It might be a NASCAR connection...
Have you been to a truck race?... CW is the sponsor of that series.
Or went to nascar.com?... Their website may have collected your email.

We frequently overlap data for this type of promotion.

In this case, they might have rented the RV registration list from your state motor vehicles department or RV riders from insurance companies (yes, they rent them to people like me) and overlay that with general population lists that are usually compiled from various sources including, but not limited to, your bank, mortgage company, utility of choice, cell phone provider, Facebook, Yahoo, Twitter, AOL--anyplace that has taken an application from you or asked you to fill out a profile.

There's a lot of information available to people who want to pay to market to you.

Any idea who that is?

No Rob, I don't and probably should have asked. The exterior looked fairly nice however, the galley hatch didn't seat well at all and the doors aligned poorly. It was a 8x10 with 15" wheels. The interior was done in knotty pine carsiding and the interior cabinetry was in oak and trimmed in what was either cherry or mahogany, it was hard to tell. Almost like the builder used whatever he had on hand.
Not meaning to slam the builder but if you're gonna sell something like this at a RV retail establishment I would hope that your would bring your A game...

Update: I checked out the email with CW and it is legitimate. They sent me a pdf link to print out the $10 coupon. I didn't print it out as I don't go to CW often however, I'll just sit on it for awhile...

Thanks Tim,

I'm not out to slam anyone either, just curious.
