If we all set our ac to the coldest temp and leave all our doors and windows open maybe we could cool it off some.

Northern Ohio and it will likely hit 100 tomorrow the first time in about 10 years. I have AC in the garage but that does not help too long as it is not insulated and after noon it cant keep up/down :x

How hot in Texas did ya say it was??????? and we thought it was bad in the mid-west!!!!!!

A buddy out of Longview said he killed a mosquito that was carrying a canteen!

A man in Dime Box said chicken farmers were giving their chickens crushed ice just to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.

A Lake Palestine fisherman caught a 20-pound catfish carrying ticks. (ewwww!)

Just this week, in Lubbock, a fire hydrant was seen bribing a dog.

All over West Texas, garden hoses refuse to unkink.

Everywhere in Texas, Baptists are starting to baptize by sprinkling, Methodists are using wet-wipes, Presbyterians are giving out rain checks and Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water.
NOW THAT'S DRY AND HOT!!!

That routine needs to end with...

Monday the dew point was equal to that of the rain forest! In six months we will be as cold as the Arctic :?

Tell me again why we live here??? Oh, ya. Our beautiful State Park system.... (yes, that was a joke to lighten the mood)

I think I heard that a town up in North Dakota heat index was 130+ When the mid west and east coast suffer from high heat and humidity it's hot.

Last I heard we were supposed to get up to 100 or so here, not counting the heat index.

And my long weekend starts tomorrow evening. How am I supposed to build in those kinds of temperatures?

Mike...

Eastern NC doesn't look any better either - 100's for the rest of the week. My shop is air conditioned and I made sure it is well insulated only 10 by 20 so I can keep it in the 70's even in the heat. My 4 x 9 tear fills the shop so my table saw is outside :( .

They're open now, right? Or is that the joke?
Darn, it's too hot to think. Definitely iced tea weather.
