Michael SlowCowboy Eggers! Don't you dare do that!!!!!

Mama Sharon would miss you! :(

Anyway, it's a good thing they locked the thread because I was in the process of posting something that would've possibly knocked some people's socks off. I won't repeat it as I've calmed down now; but, just call me a pistol packin' mama!

Slow,

Nah don't wander off.
Watching a sunrise a couple or three times should sort you out. Sunsets if you prefer.
We are all different, thank goodness, it would be a bloody boring place if we were not.
Hang about, I like reading your posts.

That's an order from down under, you hear.

Take it easy.

Nope, Mike, ain't goina' happen.
Life is a learning experience. Ya can't head to the bunker when things head south.
We are supposed to learn from it.
I wouldn't trade my screw ups for any thing. (Well maybe one or two)
It's just that some things need to be learned the hard way. :D
That's my take on it anyway.
And I'm not implying you screwed up.
I'm just babbling on

Don't leave! Just block nasty people or people with nasty comments from being able to send you PMs. With the new forum programs, you can do that.

Guns are a topic related to politics and religion, which we all should know are not supposed to be discussed because they are so controversial. However, protection is important. There is a time to roll over and play dead and a time not to. I am glad that you posted as you gave me some good information that helped me decide what I want to do.

A little "color" in a topic isn't all bad. I'll bet there were a lot of positive thoughts that you will never hear.

I, too, am sometimes considered controversial, probably because people think I'm too goody-two-shoes or because I had the "nerve" to build a roof-lifting trailer. Some people were/are so angry with that trailer (or me) that I was harassed at one gathering, last spring, and my trailer was attacked at another gathering, last summer. In fact, I think that last knife stab into my trailer was done while I was sleeping and was just 15 inches from my head. Do you think I'm going away? He!! no! I'm not planning to give them that satisfaction because that might encourage them to harass others. But, I will be packin' somethings and ready if things escalate further. Would I use a weapon? You betcha! Thanks for your input.

The reason that the "Packin" thread got locked was because of verbal attacks, not the subject. If it was the subject, they would have pulled it. Only the verbal attacks were erased/pulled. No one needs to get nasty. That solves nothing and helps nobody. People who get nasty need to regroup themselves mentally. People who want to state their opinions can do so without name calling or getting nasty, hot, or heavy. If they think they are right, they need to prove it with facts, not heavy-handedness. If some still want to believe something different, that's their choice and each of you can agree to disagree. That's all we need to do.

So, mind your "Ps" and "Qs"...a little...; but, if a topic gets locked or erased (mine got "put to sleep" at my request), don't take offense. After all, you are providing information as well as entertaining. You fellows keep the moderators from falling asleep!

I dont offend easly, I might get annoyed but not offended.

I have always tryed to post good info some of it tounge in cheek. Always tryed to get a smile from it.

There is a time to turn and walk away. This has been on my mind for a while now. And the nasty emails keep coming.

I have blocked this person. And I am walking away. Hope to see your trailer at crossroads. I should have site 74 if I get my way.

Peace out and fair winds to my friends here .

O hope you don't leave Jim. If you do the haters win. That is what slowly takes down a board. This one is to good to lose. The really nice/helpful people far out weigh the nay sayers. Maybe take a few days to calm down and give us another look! Cheers!

So it was "Packin" that got locked??
I missed it all together (maybe that is a good thing) I agree with moderators to keep the integraty of our Forum so that outsiders or mean spirited people don't disrupt a good thing!
Some posts can get off topic and become anoying, as we do not all share the same beliefs on every subject???
But, can choose just not to read certain threads.....easy as that!
While I was trying to play detective and out of curiosity figure out which thread had been locked, I thought it was the one that I had quit looking at because it was anoying to me.....the "prepping" one!! It does appear to be gone though (good thing!)
And on the subject of what "should" be allowed here and what "should not"?????? A hint would be to watch the "News" today, and it won't take a genious to figure out that we should be doing our part eliminate the any talk of "Guns" on this or any other Forum.
Sometimes glad to have that border between us, to help prevent the movement of weapons from north to south and visa versa.
Nuff said.........lets get on with some "Fun" camping news.
Last night as the snow was beginning to fall again I was looking at pictures posted from a Texas gathering with folks enjoying themselves around the campfire in shorts an T shirts..........wish we were there! Thanks for the pictures, helps us to have something to look forward to when spring comes to the north.
