Gear hinge/ hatch questions

Postby dales133 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 5:42 pm

I have as usual made life harder for myself by making my TD extra wide and local the only thing I can get galley hinge wise is a gear hinge.
The are realy good quality and a nice profile with several different styles avaliable.

I'm not sure if I need to rebate my walls for the hatch or not but if I used the surface mount or the one in the link.in my mind I don't but I'd like some more input please!

I don't know about those hinges. I do know that hurricane hinges work and Grant will sell you one up to 80". Make sure you ask him about the install. He's the definition of help when it comes to teardrops. In Tibet, the monks call him the dalai-lama of teardrop builders.

Happy building,

Hey Dale, get in touch with Reiner at Aussie Teardrop Campers. He has the hurricane hinge that you are looking for.
What part of Oz are you in?
Cheers
Paul
