Not all of us. I have to work, Thanks to a supplier of mine that was almost one month late getting materials to me. I just recieved the last shipment this morning. I have to install all my storefront frames over the weekend, or the job gets shut down on Tuesday. (They couldn't have cut it any closer)
I had to postpone a camping trip with the kids because of this. :(
Oh well, we'll have the forest to ourselves in two weeks! :D

You bet.. floor pieces are drying nicely. Will be getting ?? to put on the plywood edges to seal them, then back on. Also will be spraying parts of the trailer with red rustoleum that will be covered so they won't rust quick.

Little stuff that has to get done before the walls go up. I'm beginning to think the devil is in the details.... I'll have to put the wheels back on to pull it out and spray it.....

re the h/f 1800, I have a 4" overhang on the floor to the rear. Expect I'll have to move the lights back to the very end of the trailer for visibility.

re the cps and 255, which I ordered yesterday. Anything with expoxy is better to recoat within 48 hours. That way, there is a chemical bond as well as a mechanical bond, and no sanding is necessary.

arne,,just you wait,,the further along you get the more details and details you crop up with,,I swear I think rabbits live in teardrops cause the details seem to multiply,,but ya cross them off ya list one at a time and then all of a sudden you will be finished,,well except for one or two more little details ya found ya want to take care of,,

hang in there,,

Yes, there are details... lots and lots of details... but keep plodding and don't get too far ahead of yourself and you'll be fine. Of course it helps to have a design all worked out!!! :?

Mike,,having a design all worked out is like reading the instructions on putting a kids wagon together at Christmas, or stopping to ask for directions,,
"It just aint right"
sure would lower the frustration level though wouldnt it?
kinda like the one legged cow girl,,,she does a fine two step,,just takes her twice as long,,

I've been thinking of building a scale model. Any recommended materials?

Absolutely...

go to Home Depot and for 9.99 U.S. you can buy a 4x8 sheet of 1/4" luan. Have em cut it up into 2x4 pieces so you can get it home. And then just play play play... Oh yes, I use 5 minute epoxy to hold my models together.

If cardboard is more your style... you could do something like this... and I still use 5 minute epoxy...

I think its going to have to be cardboard. Its raining outside and I don't want sawdust in my living room.

What scale do you use to build your cardboard models?

I like 1/6 scale, but really anything will work... depends on what you are trying to visualize...

Thanks Mike. I think I'll have to go do some research this morning

Watching you build your weekender is really making me want to get going on ours. Not sure if I'll be able to wait until spring!!!

Arne, From my experience, The devil is there always, waiting for you to forget a detail!! I spent a lot of time, just sitting there in the garage, visualizing those details. Best to figure them out before putting saw to wood!
