Farmers pretty happy on our patch, good rains at the beginning of winter. Some follow up in the near future hopefully.
Rainfall is variable across the wheat belt in Western Australia, some will get good rains, some next to nothing. And in some areas of the wheat belt it is none too viable anymore due to climate change. Some farmers are giving it away in these marginal areas and there is a high suicide rate as well due to debt etc.
Only the south west corner grows cereal crops, too dry to do so anywhere else in Western Australia.
