OK Mike I'm confused. What are you working on? The Alto WW body or another project?

Here's a view looking in through the front, since the hatch is not skinned...

You can see the bathroom, then the area that will be the kitchen, and finally the raised platform that the mattress will sit on...

I had no idea you had started, thought you were just in the design stage. When you talked about a source for CNC router work I though it was next year. If you are ready now I will ask around

And here's a view of the raised platform for the mattress, with the hatch down

This is the best shot I could get of the bathroom wall...

A view from the curbside...

Here's a view as the hatch is coming down...

That's it for now... let me know if there is anything else you'd like to see.

What about something like nidacore and Divinycell, composite With Fiberglass and Epoxy? Both are structural materials with insulating capabilities, and light weight.

Looks like a neat design. Took me a second to figure it out also, my first thought was you were using 3" plywood for the walls and 4 x 4's for the crossmembers. Roof looked like it was going to be tough to raise without 3 people to help :)

Building a model sure helps to visualize what works / looks good though.

Yep, on the CNC machined... but just the sidewalls, and the hatch walls. Everything else was cut on a table saw, or with a hand saw.

And those timbers holding the hatch together are .25"... in real life they would be 3" x 3". Ouch!!! That would require 3 people to lift it up!!!

BTW, the floor plan that I built the model to is idea for adding structure to the sidewalls. There's the bathroom wall, which goes all the way across, and gives the front of the wall support.

Theres the two little walls at the foot of the bed which give the middle of the sidewalls support.

And there's the back wall, which give the back of the wall support.

All in all; an excellent design. However, in the back of my mind echoes the question . . . . .why all the headroom above the sleeping area?

I'm not young enough for those types of 'activities'
