Thanks for the compliments, Grizz. It has a pretty good tone for such a small box, but not a lot of volume. Makes it a great little practice guitar. I can sit here and goof around with it and not drive everyone out of the room.
I have a strong woodworking background, but it's all in cabinetry and such. This smaller scale work is fairly new to me, and it's a challenge that I like. I'm still learning the tonal qualities of different woods, the dos and don'ts, and getting into things like piezo pick-ups. The main problem with getting into this has been that I look at just about everything I see differently. I found half of a cabinet hinge in a coffee can in the garage yesterday, and my first thought was, "Oh, that'll make a great tailpiece..."
