Not everybody gets it...

I put the same sticker on our (residential) solar array. It was a bit of a parody since the state permit mandated about a million placards warning of the hazards of electricity. We were supposed to include one at our front door. It blew off as the inspector drove away.

Supposed to work on the hotrod but the wife's Liberty passenger window wouldn't go back up.
Kinda different. This whole plastic piece comes out of the door with everything in it (door lock, ect).
Of course, the connector was different and had to exchange it.

A few weeks ago, the combination of some rain and melting snow caused our basement to flood slightly. (So not only do we have almost the only basement in New Mexico, we had almost the only flooded basement in New Mexico!) Caused us to try and rescue the junk stored down there, with fairly good success. Took a little time, but everything is straightened out, wet boxes are recycled, and everything is up on concrete blocks or wood pallets. But one corner remained a mess.

Back when we started our teardrop in the wood shop out front, we started piling miscellaneous junk on an old electronics bench in the basement. I finally decided to tackle that this weekend!

Not only did I clean it off, I added that shelf above it (to take care of things that didn't fit on the blocks or pallets) and added the scrap of peg board to the back. I am pleased with myself! 8)

Um, of course, one can't reverse entropy, and one can't always find logical places to put things away. So one of these days I'll have to clean up the wood working bench.

Hmm, maybe it's time to take on a few electronics projects for a year or five.

I bought a PV warning sticker pack from Amazon and it seemed a shame not to use them all... ;)

Yeah, I have three placards on one switch box, all more or less saying the same thing.

Built a dozen Eastern Bluebird nest boxes and started installing them around the area. We're close to the northern edge of their breeding range so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope I'm not too late for bluebirds seeking nesting cavities. Two days ago there was no grassy spots in sight. The snow took a beating the last two days of temps in the 50s and 60s.

Nice Tim! The poles they're mounted on, look like they pivot in the middle.... yes?
I'm assuming for servicing/cleaning/installing the boxes?

Hi John. The post is made up of what I had laying around. It is a short fence post and the top portion is 1/2" emt to raise the box up to about five feet. There are two 1/4" bolts tying them together. The boxes are about five feet up so no need for a pivot. When I run out of those used, cheap fence posts and short cutoffs of emt I'll go to the prescribed method which is a three or four foot section of rebar pounded a couple feet into the ground and then five foot length of 1/2" emt slipped over that. Some folks use emt clamps to mount the boxes. I just drill two holes through the top and mount with deck screws.

I suspect I'll get more chickadees, wrens and tree swallows than the target bluebirds but that is OK. We don't get a lot of house sparrows like urban areas get. If I find house sparrows I will evict them. Sounds bad but house sparrows will destroy bluebird and other eggs and kill the young birds. They are an invasive species brought over in the 1800s by well meaning but very uninformed Europeans.
