Wow! Lots of rain around Raton, Tim! We've had a lot, but nothing since last week.

I haven't seen updates of the 10K fire yet this morning, but news reports from last night showed helicopters yesterday dousing it with water. There were 30+ firefighters from Albuquerque, the county and USFS, plus a hot-shot crew. Can't see any smoke yet this morning from our house. Maybe they got it :worship:

All I did was line up ALOT of dominoes today on my '61 Shasta Compact. Basically finally deciding on a plan and locating all the attachments and adapters and buying them. Installing AC, propane system rebuilt, water system rebuild and electrical system expansion.

I always thought it would be fun to switch the wings out of lucite or such and light them up.

I know a few people who light the original ones up and they look pretty cool, I might do that when I get to that point, removing the original ones would never be a consideration since they are so rare

Started this project in the Winter, and thought I'd get to it a little at a time. Now, we're spending the summer at home, so I have the time. Decided to make nicer holders for the tools that hang on the wall. A lot of the metal hooks fall off the peg-board when you reach for the tool. These are all made out of scrap 1x3.

My entire shop is neat! Why, an unscrupulous person might have simply shoved the junk on that left hand bench over before taking the picture, and then carefully cropped it to make it look neat! But would I do something like that!?

Oops! How'd that picture get in here?

Seriously, thank you Pete!

For a workshop that is literally paneled with peg-board, one may wonder why I want more. But, you see, the cabinets cover some of it... Also, since I paneled it in 2012, I've had random scraps of peg-board hanging around, taking up storage space.

Anyway, I thought the side of the cabinet would be a good place to store new sand paper, and was contemplating the best way to attach hooks, when this peg-board solution suggested itself

Building and installing it, and the making holders for the boxes of sandpaper, was the productive part of my day.

Gives me an idea for the next project: I wonder if I can fit our battery operated drills (Dewalt and Ryobi) battery chargers and batteries on the other side of the cabinet? That would really get them out of the way, and give us more room for other things in the shop.

I did some bird watching... Some of you might know I've been obsessed with Bluebirds. The past three days I've been in a battle with a Wren who has taken a liking to the bluebird nest box that I cleaned out on Sunday after the babies all fledged. I've removed sticks for three days trying to convince the little stinker that he should return to the nestbox on the other side of our yard that he just reared seven young wrens in. I've resorted to taping the bluebird box entrance shut. I think he finally has gotten the message.

I will say the little jerks are entertaining to watch. This afternoon they started hauling sticks in the box they were in last month. At one point he had a Y shaped stick trying to put it through a very small entrance. I think the entrance is the minimum size for a Wren. For close to 15 minutes he tried every which way to get the whole stick inside. He was noticeably frustrated while making interesting noises when the stick would fall on the ground. He never did get it completely inside. Right now I’m debating whether to help him out by snapping the one leg off that’s sticking out of the hole. Every stick that follows is that much harder to get in because of the Y stick. The little stinker doesn’t deserve my help but I’m probably going to weaken!

Watching Stage 8 of the TDF. Around 3:50 in they showed one of the fan groups with some small trailers.

We went to our first Adventure Van expo in Evergreen today. What a beautiful morning! Our van compared quite well with the vans we saw.

Then it hailed at our house and the van got some dimples.
