CONTRATULATIONS!!!!! Dave, it is just stunning! I've been sitting here staring at the pics of it. What a nice sanitary galley. It's just loverly.... :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Looks like you learned to shoot clear pretty well! Now go have some fun with it. Doug

It's got 3M Invisable Mask over the front of the box, trailer, and fenders. I think that will protect the clear, but if it doesn't, it should at least keep the fiberglass from chipping.

If worse comes to worse, I'll learn how to sew and make a cover/bra next winter.

It has meant alot to have your encouragement Doug....but I never did learn how to shoot clear very well :oops:

I did learn how to sand and buff out runs, orange peal, bugs and fingerprints!!! Now I'm real interested in how that clear will stand up over time. It has definately been a learning experience.

Well Dave...I"ve got 4 years on the Road Titan and it still looks like new. It did spend 1 winter outdoors although it was covered, when building the Rocketear. Mine is solid ply not a stripper however. I think if all your edges are eased you'll find that it will really do well for you.

Look at it this way...having to sand runs sags etc...only makes you learn to run a gun a lot better the next time around. There is a fine line when there is enough material on to flow out well and not get a sag. I've got so much orange peel on the Voyager it could be sponsored by Sunkist!

How did you seal the hatch? Sides and bottom.... Non of the pics seem to show it clearly... :thinking:

John, I just used Grant's seal around the hatch opening with a closed cell strip on the hatch itself. Everything gets cinched down tight with draw clasps when closed. No leaks yet...but I figure I'll find some on the hatch, doors and box. I couldn't get that lucky.

If I ever get to a gathering, I'm going to spend a whole day just looking at how people make things water-tight. I'm guessing that the people that are really good at building Tears are really good at sealing them up!!!
