Thanks for the compliment Doug. Yes, the canopy offers plenty of headroom and is adjustable as well. At 6'4" having enough clearance to walk about underneath was an important issue for me.

We have one of the Kelty Car Tarps and will buy another for the side. They are well made, light weight and easy to pack. The new Mega-Mini will have awning rails on three sides.
The next task is to figure out how to add mosquito netting and side curtains that are equally easy to pack and put up. One possibility is to buy material and use grommets so that it uses the poles used to support the tarp.
One of the things I love about Tearjerkers gatherings is seeing how others have solved a problem. One of those solutions was to use paint roller extension handles as tent/tarp support poles, adjustable, light weight and CHEAP!
Nylon rope is easy to tie knots in, poly pro however is a royal pain. There was a great link to a rope tieing web page and from experience I know that using a fishermans knot and truckers hitch work and I am sure others can name others.

That is a cool awning.

I especially like the shorthair pointer. I lost mine in the spring. They are great dogs. Thanks for the post.

Thanks, and sorry for your loss. That is a great dog pictured... so much so that he's not even mine. BUT he did adopt me as his own whenever I visit. Scott G.
