I know this post is old, but I had to chime in.
That exact 47 Aero Flite will be delivered to my house within the week for a complete restoration

Congratulations!

You have a real gem.

If you could do a build journal, or such, on it, that'd be totally interesting !

I love their interiors.

It's great the owners are getting it restored and revived.

Cheers,

Here's a pic of where I'm at with the Aero Flite.
Also learning to use the new computer, oh what fun.
Cabinets are waiting for the cold weather to break, so I can install them. 11F out at this time. :snow

Larry Boehme is building his Airfloe.
http://www.rovt.org/newsletters/July%20 ... 202012.pdf
Last batch of pictures he sent me were of them placing the completed roof on the body.
Sorry, I haven't saved any of the pictures.
I suspect we'll be seeing his version of the Aero Flite sometime this year.
Larry also built his "Cad T" and has passed it on to his son. :D Danny

There's one that shows up at the Mt. Baker Vintage Rally in Lynden WA.
The owner said that some of those trailers were used in county fairs for serving food.
The front window would be perfect for handing out hamburgers and such.

Has anyone heard of an Aero Flite boat? We saw an old aluminum boat that had an enclosed cabin at a lake in NY. The lady that owned it got it from her father who owned it for many years. She said it was built for fishing on the great lakes, was built by a company that had done airplane work during the war, and there were only about 6 of them made. The name she said sounded like Aero Flite. It had a newer outboard motor on it. Her comment was it rode like a bobber in the water. It was a really neat looking boat!

Her's a few more pics of the Aero Flite, I'm almost done with the interior.
I can't say that I'm looking forward to the exterior buffing job ahead. :frightened:
There are a few more pics of the Aero Flite in my album to look at, I'll be sure to post more pics soon.
