I hate sitting next to or between two class A's

I love sitting between two RVs they make great wind blockers, and the fact they always come over to talk and look and when you tell them your 34 ft motor home is in storage and you get 20 to 30 mpg pulling your little trailer the look on their faces is priceless

LoL I'll be honest I had no idea what a 560 ultra was  Thats a slick looking little trailer. Looks like it has almost everything a full size camper has. OMG though they are expensive. Wow I didn't know Teardrops got up to 20k :? Thats a high end little camper!

Yeah, thats my thoughts too. BUT honeybunny said she wanted it, i looked at t@b and I'll guy....I'll forget about the price, but in terms of quality of construction and features I think it's only a little expensive...

For example, every wood surface is polyurethaned (or whatever they use) before its built, even parts you dont see. And every little detail is thought out. For example, in the gally, the cabinet tops open for storage underneath....the rails have drip guides to take spills out the back...I'll photo document it...there are some good youtubes on it.

It basically would be exactly what I wanted to build, except mine would look link homer Simpson did it...

Wow....I just took a look at this on Camp Inn's site. That is some classy teardrop. I stand behind my original statement...."cooler than an airplane."

no no no never I have been a pilot since 1966 and a camper since 1960 both have there places but nothing beats
leaving my local airport and being at my folks place in Arcadia Florida 8 hours later,
same car trip use to take us 20 hours of actual travel time 24 with stops.
That was years ago they both have passed and I sold my plane so it's camping now

I'm just joshin ya Pete. Airplanes are plenty cool. I'd never see my grandkids without them, since they're in California and we are in Maryland. But, as necessary as planes are, I never ooh and ahh over them, unless they're vintage, but I'll ooh and ahh over a cool teardrop anytime (vintage or not)!!

Already there :). Not a lot of posts...just a few diehards.

There are at least 3 (including ours) around here...a 550 in Anderson and another 560 near downtown...

First trip will be to a campground near Bloomington (Berkely East) and then a week of yet to be determined. Maybe just visiting Indiana spots....Fayetteville, WV maybe,,,

I CAN'T WAIT!

Just gettin past the 125 an hour operating cost is the problem. I'd LOVE to have an 172 bt the reality is the maint costs are just too high. :( Maybe some day I'll build the plane of my dreams. But I really don't have the time...

Favorite flyin is "Rough River" 2I3 if I remember correctly. That's "I" not 1...cool place...

Becky, Pete and Gerry,

A little Camp-Inn history you will all get a kick out of. For several years our factory was a large aircraft hangar. There really always has been a strong aircraft influence in our products.

By the way, I too fly and have a couple neat old planes. One 1948 Cessna 140 and the original Bakeng Duce prototype. I have the old Duce for sale, hangar too full. Cost of operating is not too bad on planes like these. We charge ourselves $45 an hour to fly the 140. That thing is just great cheap flying.
