So when do you start the new build thread for the two-door, five-wide?

I cancelled my facebook account, I reallyl don't care who is sitting out on the patio drinking iced tea in the rain. Just got back from a weekend camp out at a quiet lake 20 miles from my house. I know, "where can you find a lake that close to your place in crowded, So Calif?" Well, I live out in the country, (not hardly like slow does) but about 40 miles from the Ocean. Next weekend there is a gathering at Lake Silverwood, CA that is called Run to the Top, and anyone within driving distance is welcome to come and join us. TD or Vintage, no problem. I'm going, because, like I told my daughter, I'm going camping at a lake where there are some friends that I haven't met yet! Hey, it works for me, come on over and enjoy some views and a campfire, in good ol sunny Southern California.

"Where is everyone?" I've asked myself that a lot, but then I've been on for nearly 8 years. Many of my early forum connections are no longer posting, finished up their builds, dropped off the forum or sold them and on to something else. I hung in because I built a number of trailers (I knew I was going to do that), and honestly, most of my closest friends since I moved to Calif, came off this forum. We either talk on the phone or E-mail each other about our doings and some are close enough that I see them regularly. Our friendships have gone beyond just the teardropping thing and it's not really forum fodder.

Believe it or not...I don't post as much as I used to, someone has a question on how to do something...there's plenty of others to chime in and give the answer, and I'm sure people have had their fill of me. Not so much when we only had 400 members like when I first came on. Some people also are "hit and run", get the info they want...then you never hear from them again.

Times change, people change and the economy certainly did change...but typically, in the past, it has gotten slower in the summer as people are out using their creations. I always try to start a build in the fall so it is ready to go in the spring. Once summer hits, I'm camping whenever I can.

I tried to get some people to post pics on camping this last Memorial Day. I'm sure plenty went, but only 3 people out of nearly 14K members put up a pic. Thanks Len, Danny and Mike! Doug

I'm here, but let's see .....If I wasn't this busy, I'd be visiting here more, but I have friends/family I don't see enough as is!!
:D Here's the last week run down.....
School is winding uP for me,so that has meant report cards, masses of papers to correct & get back as the last, last day is tomorrow; graduations to help with and attend, camped at a Tearjerker's gathering, planned and decorated for a volunteer luncheon, getting out & organizing the items needed for the IRG, preparing the reg. letters, ballots & other paperwork to go out this week, taking care of my parents who have been married 63 years and are still trying to live together independently, taking care of our other family home/property over an hour + away, doing videos for the cooking show, monitoring/ admin. the PG website & OCIC spots, plus the usual household chores, and, well you get the idea.

And Slow, :lips:  :lady: Good for you, Cowboy. Ah, what a mood lifter and exciting time the start of a long yearned for relationship can bring. Pace yourself, and Slow, go slow, and really enjoy getting to know that PLB down Iusk way. :dancing:

Do you camp in the summer Becca? I would only if it was at a lake and I was on the water to keep cool!

I've been camping as much as possible. I also have taken up fly fishing. Fact is I need to hurry and pack some things for next weekends trip to spring canyon so I can squeeze in some fishing this afternoon. :D
