Dear Slow,
this thread SHOWS THAT FOLKS HERE REALLY "pAY iT fORWARD". i UNDERSTAND THE FEELING OF BEING OVERWHELMED BY THE PROSPECT OF IT ALL....BUT i BET YOUR HEART IS SWELLING WITH JOY when people send what they've pledged. Dean and I were "blown away" at the generosity of our fellow campers that attend the IRG. If you keep this gathering going you shall find your attendance will also increase as it sounds like you have a loyal support group. These people are your core, and backbone, for we all realize a gathering takes many hands and makes lighter work so the organizers actually have a chance to enjoy their own fruits of labor!

And, my life plans include attending other/new gatherings at places I have never been to, and Wyoming state is one of them. Want to meet up with you and your

i know i wanted to attend this year, but timing and real life just did not allow it (that and slow had me afraid my foamie would blow off the road LOL). but i am trying real hard to make it this year. would love to attend the crossroads america gathering also. would be nice if the 2 of these gatherings were closer together. if i were able to make the crossroads one, then since i would be so far over already, i could just keep going to wy.
i won't be saying i will be there this time. for me, its going to be a wait and see.

just an idea, but the crossroads is 25-28 july. if some of those folks wanted to head over after that, that first weekend in august would work good.
i am trying to get my hubby to sign off on this for me. lol you don't know how bad i want to get out your ways!

As I stated in an earlier post we Really want to make it to Wyoming again in 2013.
And we will be in the USA at a Rod Run in Southern Washington Aug. 2-5 and would love to stay down and come over to the Gathering after that or come down a week early to attend the week before Aug. 2nd?????
My fear is that once your Gathering is established then it will be on the same date every year......and if that date is the first weekend in August we will never be able to attend.
My Vote would be for Aug. 10-12th.
But do what is best for the majority!

When I asked for two weeks off in August 2013, they said no. So I will just have to take Wednessday thru Tuesday off and drive hard to get there.

You could also join the Marines.

New Fork Lake again 'bout the only large group area in Wy. that can be reserved.

My thoughts on the date...........Always going to be someone who has something else planned on any weekend ,so why not just pick a weekend in August and go with it each year . Third weekend worked this year so it gets my vote! Aug. 15-18 2013

Remember my opinion is worth what you paid for it( less depreciation and normal wear)

The group I belong to meets in Florida the same week each year in Feburary.
so we know when to reserve our spaces makes it easier to pick a a weekend, or week in my case and stick with it.

I too have been busy.
But got your money order yesterday and put it in the mail today.
Once again we want to come but can't make it on the Aug. 2 - 5th weekend.
