Hi Brian and Sandi, Applegate is 7/19-7/21, but some us are staying a bit longer. It's not too far west of the Medford, OR area, so if you're coming up I-5 around then, we're at the Hart-Tish campground.
Sounds like you two are having a blast!

Brian called to tell me that he was in my home town! What a surprise. That's what I get or not checking my email every day. 20 , minutes later, they arrived at my place. What a beautiful camping trailer he has created! There is none other like it in the world. Right now he is parked in my driveway, letting the "Miss Piggy" cool her heals, as Brian and Sandy are spending the day at Disney Land, which is about an hour away. Hey, they ain't back yet, and it is after 11 oclock. So, to punish them, I hand-painted a sign, telling all of the neighbors who see it in my driveway..........."For Sale, Must sell ASAP, inquire within!" So far, no takers!

Anyway, I'm going to bed, perhaps I'll talk to them in the morning..........Again, what a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.......even though it is metal..........Good Night.
8) :R ;)  :FNP Roly, the li'l ol' td guy in So Calif, with a driveway big enough for the biggest teardrop..so come on by, the coffee is always on. PS, bring some of your local wine, like Brian did.

On our trip to California from Ohio we encountered two teardrops. I am inclined to go along with Carl and his galaxy theory as we had a number of cases where we heard "we had another tear just last week" at a number of the camp grounds. I think this also comes under the those living in a closed senior community syndrome. Seniors living in a closed community do not perceive themselves as being "old" because those who surround them are the same age. We have a concentration of teardrop owners and builders here, and Tearjerkers gatherings like CRA where we will be next week where there will be lots of them. Our perception is that there are lots of them.

Anyway......the long post that did not make it contained another thank you to Roly from Miss Piggy for the Wash Job.
And bit of a rant about California traffic, Freeways, drivers, and nice young cops.
Towing at 75 mph in the fast lane is apparently not acceptable in California .....But towing at 55 mph in the slow lane with all of those semis and merging drivers talking on their cell phones is way to dangerous for me. So just another warning!
But another bottle of Argentinian red was required to calm our nerves after we got off the Freeway!

PS
We REALLY want to hook up with other teardroppers like Roly on our trek northward up the California and Oregon coast.

Brian, there are a couple in napa, one in willets and of course dean and joanie in the redwoods. They don't get on here much. If you are on fb, may want to check out kay's teardrop trailer group.

My brother-in-law spotted a very unique trailer on the 60 Freeway heading into Los Angeles the other day (July 19).

He was so impressed that he took pictures and sent them to me because he knew I was into teardrops. If you saw a white electrician's service truck swerving all over to the left of you, that was him! Since I haven't been paying attention here lately, I had to Google it, which lead me back here.

Just a word to the wise, Brian....I understand that Oregon is 55 Mph and slow lane driving for trailer-towing also.

You may have frayed your nerves, driving in the So. Cal/LA area, now; but, when you look back on it, you'll have some exciting adventures to reminisce about. Anyway, it's over and you're on your way up the beautiful coastline. (You'll have to go slow on some of those curves!)

When I was in Oregon in Feb. I did not see any signs about 55mph for trailers.
