This was a cheapy drill bit kit I was given that came in a pack of 2000 and included hole saws, screwdriver bits and various ancillary bits and bobs all for about £10.

It was rather surprising when it bent. :lol:

I have a large cheap drill index from Harbor Frieght next to my drill press, always have the right size. The drill bits have lasted 3 years drilling mild steel. This set is only used in the drill press and with cutting oil. Best $29.95 I ever spent. High speed steel bits work for my hand drilling. Most of my drilling is in mild steel, bullet point, and plated bits don't seem to last for me. Just to muddy the waters more, what angle cutting edge is better?
