I do not drink milk normally, but use it in cooking. The local Walmart carries several different brands, but they are scattered throughout the store. Besides the Horizon or Trumoo in the cereal aisle, in the baking section, you can find Parmalat in quart containers. It has a long shelf life, and will last much longer than regular milk after it is opened. UHT milk is pasteurized at a much higher temperature than regular milk then packaged in sterile containers with hermetic seals. Once the milk is sterilized, it will last a long time. It is NOT IRRADIATED.

I first encountered it in the military, as keeping fresh milk is a real trick in the field. I did develop a craving for the chocolate milk. :D
