Go for it. Friends have borrowed our TD and camped from Fl. to Vancouver Canada and back. Three months on the road and said it was fine. Course this same couple is used to backbacking for weeks on end. My wife and I have camped in a really small Class B, not much larger than our Cubby TD, from the Keys to Maine - eastcoast to west coast. Larry

I think for me the operative word would be "travel." As long as I was on the move, keeping busy and active, seeing the scenery change, then I could do it for limited periods of time (I think a month or so would be my outside limit before I would need a break from it). I could not do it if it meant sitting for extended periods in one spot though. Doing all your living outdoors in a campground space gets old real fast once you've seen the sights.

That being said though, we are planning something just a bit bigger for our retirement camper. Not anything that would be considered a land yacht, but maybe in the 16' range. The main needs are standing head room and in indoor potty/shower. I don't care if I have to convert the dining table to a bed, or whatever else, but those three things are non-negotiable. At my age frequent trips to the head in the night are the norm and I do not really enjoy having to get up several times a night, put on my shoes and go outside to the potty tent. I like it even less when its cold and/or raining. Also, it would be nice to just be able to stand up and dress. We have also found campground shower facilities to be seriously lacking (translation=dirty) sometimes.

We both enjoy certain activities such as hiking and biking in cooler weather, but I don't enjoy getting up and having to go outside into the cold first thing in the morning to get dressed and get breakfast. Being able to dress inside and linger until the sun was up and we were ready to go do our activities would really extend the travel/camping season.

It all depends on a persons plans, disposition, tolerance for the weather, and potty habits  I guess.

We plan to retire in Florida but our daughter and grandchildren live in California so I expect we will make several cross country trips each year to visit them and then we will be stationary there for a period of time. For that purpose a teardrop would not be suitable for us. But if we were traveling from hiking trail, to biking trail, to attraction to do our thing, take a look and move on it would be more do-able, but still not ideal........for us.
Life is sooooo good.........
