Just call it a tiny trailer and forget about names. It's yours and you made it. May you have many happy trips!

To answer your questions, I've never needed a heater, even when the night temperatures dropped into the 30's. If yours is insulated, you probably won't need a heater either.
Most people make their bed the width of the interior, unless they are using an innerspring mattress or something like that.

I got a little ceramic heater from Walmart, think it cost all of about $15, warms the camper up nice. I am told the ceramic heaters are safer. If anything, it gets too warm, I have to turn it down in the middle of the night.
