Taking "IT" with you, something different?

I'm a fan of showers; if we're camping anyplace that doesn't have free/pay showers, I'll bring along the (extremely large and space-consuming) shower kit.

I also love my mini-fridge... its a Dometic CF-35. Fans of the icebox/cooler will scoff at the (insanely) high cost of these fridges.

But it always delivers; brings a smile to my face when pulling out crisp lettuce after 4-5 days. At home it stays plugged in as a wine and beer chiller.

And it costs less than a 'lightweight' 4-season tent (look at the prices for this one: Mountain Hardwear EV 3 Tent ).

Also: a little buddy catalytic heater can be a nice addition.

An Uno card game, Scrabble, Word Search puzzle book, my trusty old EtchaSketch and something to read. I used to accompany Bob and the dogs on the long hikes that he likes to take (around the parks or campgrounds). Currently, my knees won't allow me anymore than a very short walk (working on weightloss, physical therapy, etc. for it). I sit back with my feet up, commune with nature while reading, or messing around with the puzzles or Etch.

Bad weather blows in-----I"ll take a rainy, blustery day, sitting under an EzyUp---playing card or board games any day---compared to a "big box" retail, standing on hard concrete, listening to kids screaming workday.

Some examples of my campsite EtchaSketch work---the horse was done from memory, and the teardrop was parked a few feet away for reference.

A BED!!! Let's face it, there are no great options for bedding when you backback...they all suck. For us, the main reason to build the trailer was to have a real bed to sleep on. With these little trailers, you can bring way more stuff than you need or just the basics. It's all about how you like to camp. We bring everything from our tent camping sans the tent. We take 2 folding camp chairs, 2 folding recliners, an Easy Up with walls, solar shower with enclosure, simple tubs for dishes, and Big Eddy a huge screen room just in case (used it on almost every gathering last year).

All the Best,

Dave

Taking "IT" with you, something different?

The tear is for a us so all we have to add is is food, clothes and stir, instant camp out! Not quite true, cause of the ez up, charcoal, shower shelter, propane campfire and folding bikes. But the real point is to not pack and unpack each time. All our small equipment and cooking utensils & supplies stay in the trailer. And i like having real cabinets for my clothes. I hated never being able to find clothes in my backpack or duffle. Plus all the toiletries stay in the trailer. Except for the stuff mentioned above, it really is just clothes and foid. Everything else stays in the trailer. Its what kharn said. Teardropping is car camping, really nothing like backpacking except being outdoors. You can store your food for the most part in your trailer, and there is a semipermenace to your other supplies. You get to have chairs, and more than one bowl and real food. You can have a lantern , and a fire, and games, and shelter from bugs. Think og it more as hardsided car camping.
