I really do appreciate it, as I am the worlds worst when it comes to soldering......always get things to hot and have the solder running everywhere except where it should go!! Must not have been paying much attention that day in shop class.![]()

Brian, one of the soldering secrets is a quality flux/acid, there are several good ones, and several very inferior ones. I consider "C" Flux to be one of the best for copper, it let's you know when proper temp has been reached, as it will turn a dark coffee brown when it is at optimum temperature. It also contains little fines of solder that help pre-tin and draw the molten solder around the fitting. Have been using it for over 40 years and always good results. Try it you'll like it!
