Things to consider:
Make sure you go 5' wide unless you are single and want to stay that way.
No need for a built in sink and water supply.
Check to see if there is any sign of water leaks. Water is the enemy in any type of teardrop.
Two doors! Again.... if you or your have a significant other gets up in the night??? or if you like to share the bed making duties??
Guess I could go on and on, but you have already had enough great advice to go looking! ;)

Thanks for your input Brian & Sandi. It's very helpful. I did make an offer on her yesterday. It's a 5 x 8 tear, which was something many here have suggested as a minimum. It does however have only 1door (passenger side) at this time. I intend to add one as it already has a window that matches the one on the door. Or maybe even install pre-manufactured door if possible.

There is a leak on the galley hatch, which he was very up front about (no real evidence of water damage, he's kept it in garage). But I think installing a real hurricane hinge or similar along with some new weather seal gaskets along the galley hatch should solve it. However I may need to seek some advice when I get to that point.

I'll try to upload a photo.

Thanks!

As A QC professional I looked for what fails in a trailer before buying ours and it was Wood Rot and Rust. Rot is the biggest problem.

A quick question Brian & Sandi. Why no need for a sink and water supply? I've seen so many with at least a sink. Even if you don't carry a water supply and only have a sink and provide a connection to an on site water.

It's a big engineering undertaking, especially if you follow the rules about having a grey-water tank for storage and dumping and/or have hot water, for what you can replicate with an empty tupperware container and a teapot. In my area, all the state campgrounds now have a commercial dishwashing sink attached to the bath house, so we don't even wash dishes in our campsite anymore.

Yes...what Kharn said!
Just too much work, cost, and use of space, for what you will get out of it.
You will find that the lose of counter space, storage pace under the counter, and plumbing that a sink requires will not be worth it. And you will wish you had it all back the first time you go camping.
We find that we either do dishes at the campground sink if there is one, or we use this great collapsible sink Sandi got from Coleman (weighs nothing) either on the picnic table or our table that attaches to Miss Piggy.
Our original plan (still used some times) was a small tote that we carry our dishes, wash cloth, tea towel, soap etc. while travelling and use it as our wash basin before repacking those items.
There are some neat side table options that have been posted here on the Forum, where the table top has a hole in it for a stainless salad bole or large dog dish, that drops in as a wash sink.
We also do not use our stove in the back of the teardrop....always away. Either on the end of the picnic table or our attachable table or folding table.
Water supply is usually close by, and yes we boil our water for washing.
If you have power at your site it is easy to plug in the kettle. If not we you on of the stove we carry with us.
We have a regular two burner Coleman and a single burner Coleman the screws on to the top of a 1 lb propane bottle for fast cooking.

Thanks Kharn and Vedette. Those are great points. When we used to tent camp years ago we would approach kitchen clean up similar to what you describe. I like the plastic tote idea the doubles as storage for dishes. Think I'll do that and just keep it simple!

Here's a pic of the galley. Not a lot of storage so a sink would probably take up way too much counter space.
