This looks great. For 109, I may take a chance....

The top of the light speed tent is supported and dome shaped. So it would seem unlikely to pool water when it rains. If you wanted to for extra rain protection you could add a custom rain fly.

 By using the coupon code "cs20" which Java Jack mentions above the price is reduced ($22.00) to $87.99...with free shipping too.

I don't own one (yet)...however it's going on my teardrop camping wish list.

Terra trike traveler....you can google it. Nice to ride solo....traveling with my wife on a diamond frame is ....embarrassing. 20 inch wheels are NOT fast....10 mph is about it. But, it's fun and very comfortable to ride. 20 miles left me with spaghetti legs, but no monkey butt.

I'm ordering 2 of these tents on payday. I hope the legs are adjustable enough. Our state parks have great pads sometimes...but the rocky ones...well, they leave a lot to be desired. If I ever get a pickup, a motorized tamper will go in the back

Be sure to use that code cs20 when ordering so you get the 20% discount. As for the legs, it's not so much that they are adjustable as it is that they are either fully extended or collapsed to the mid point. They slide freely so if you needed them somewhere between the mid point and fully extended, you could drill some holes in the leg and use a pin to set a fixed position (kinda like the way a weight machine works). If you needed infinite position adjustment, you might be able to rig up some type of lever clamp. Have not really looked at needing to adjust the legs any yet.

I am sure something can be worked out if needed.

I went to the lightspeedoutdoors.com website for a Privacy Tent (Changing Room) Product Code: TN-CHGRM and did a trial shopping cart purchase with coupon code cs40. It was accepted! That takes $44.00 off bringing the price down to $65.99 and shipping is still free!

 Thanks for the tip kudzu

Re: Side Entrance Tent with 2nd entry door & magnets?

Postby Esteban » Wed Mar 25, 2015 2:58 am

 :) I am wondering if I could use magnets with a customized side entry tent to attach it to my (under construction) teardrop?

My teardrop will have plywood sides that are fiberglassed and painted. I probably could strategically embed steel screw heads, and or washers, hidden just under the surface in the teardrop's walls and roof around the door. Then when the tent is customized with a second entry sew pockets into it for magnets with the same spacing as the embedded screw heads. Seems easy enough with advance planning.

Or I could embed magnets into the side walls and roof of the teardrop and put steel (washers?) into pockets sewn into the side tent. That might reduce the hunting for the exact places where embedded screws are located. Because the embedded magnets would attract the steels when they are close.

 What do you think about the idea?

Not a bad idea at all! You could also embed some neodymium magnets. Very strong....just align them all so your sewn in magnets can be oriented the opposite way....

I just looks on Amazon, and they are cheap too....

I Googled "neodymium magnets" and one choice was http://www.magnet4less.com where they sell round counter sunk magnets in a variety of sizes and pull forces that should work well for embedding magnets into the side and roof of a teardrop.

 The conceptual idea for a strong and unobtrusive way to attach a side tent to a teardrop is coming together. The round counter sunk magnets look easy to work with and they are affordable. A spade bit would made it easy to drill a shallow hole in the plywood to fit a round magnet.

Yep, it actually works. Couldn't say that with 100% certainty when I posted before but I just got my order today. The 40% discount applied to all my order.

The side tent was very easy to set up, as was the screen house I ordered. Both look like they will serve my needs well. Can't wait to put them in use next month.
