I believe finishing the project was harder than designing it. :)

Once I stopped working on it..... It sat for 8 months and I had to finish it. Getting motivated was hard

I calk silicone almost Daly at work and whilst it's not that enjoyable to work with I've got it down pat after all these years, polyurethane adhesive on the other hand is just a bastard

The galley hatch and the doors.
My first hatch was so flimsy that it warped completely out of shape. Finally sent it to the burn pile and built a newer, stronger one.
The doors were almost as bad. I planned them to have radiused corners only to find out years later that the T-molding would strike the trailer body when the doors were opened. Plus they didn't fit the hole very well. They looked great but were no good. Cut the door frames out square and built new doors which turned out way better.131530

Without any doubt, I had the most trouble with two things:

1) Getting the plywood to bend over the front curve of the trailer. If you visit my build log, you'll see the trouble I had, and the solution.

2) Building the hatch. I had a pretty good idea how to do it, and it worked for the most part. But it was tricky!

Outtahand,
Doing the roof is a lot easier with ratchet straps over the top. Works a lot better then clamps. 8)

I threw that mattress photo in to prime this thread. That's 5" of foam with 2" memory foam topper from the Foam Factory. Sure it's a two-person job getting it in a teardrop, but I'll stack that mattress against any other product. Including our own bed. It's much better than most motel mattresses.

Now, back to, "what's the hardest..." Any pics out there?

I thought this one was tough. It was the only time I was stiff the day-after.

Loading the cabin on the chassis. It didn't take a lot of thought. A couple of pieces of plastic pipe and it went fairly easily. Just make sure you hitch your tow vehicle up first to stablize the front end.
