CycleKarts

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

I have wanted to build one ever since I first saw pictures of them on the stevproj.com site when looking at boat plans. There is a forum and Facebook page if you are really interested. There are specifications for the design if you want it to be an official cyclekart.

Okay, 6 months have passed since Larry sucked me down this Rabbit Hole.
In that time I have been actively researching CycleKarts, and participating on the CycleKart Forum.
Last week I took the plunge and started ordering parts for my next "Winter Project"......I have to finish "Kermit" first , along with a serious list of house & farm oriented chores before I am allowed to start this new build. :NC
BUT.......the Tieton Grand Prix is on next weekend June 24th- 26th.
So I am hooking Miss Piggy to the 46 Studebaker and heading south again (will be my 4th time in Yakima so far this year) ;) to take in this cool event.
Anyone care to join me?
Last year it was very hot; but apparently there was plenty of cold beer!
This should be a Fun Weekend ....and my first solo camping trip with Miss Piggy. ;)

Can't wait to see what you build. When are you planning on telling Sandi about the new racetrack in the back field?

Well, I am back from Tieton!
What a "Rush"......these things are amazing! :applause: :applause:
Way "Faster" than they look on video.....and way more FUN!
Good People Too......... much like our Teardrop Community.
And speaking of which, there were 4 Teardrops in attendance at the Tieton Grand Prix this past weekend.
Not only did I sign up new Tear Jerker Memebers, but found a CycleKart people that want to get into Teardrop Camping.
Looking for a quality Teardrop for them here in the PNW in the $7,000.00 to $10,000.00 range??????
Let me know if you know of anything.
I am going to try to get them to come to the "Farm Gathering" to see the variety of trailers that are being manufactured these days.
And Larry? You need to do this!
It is Fantastic!!!
Came home with parts for my Winter Build. ;)

Got passed by two pros on the second corner of the race, but hung right on their tail and followed their line lapping the rest of the field finishing 3rd.
Great Fun!
Had a wheel fall off while running 3rd in the Orchard Race. Some pretty tense moments in that race with the throttle stuck wide open and no brakes left.
Thank God the wheel fell off!

I really, REALLY don't need another time-consuming, expensive hobby!

That is the beauty of "True" CycleKarts.......they are to be home built, with a budget maximum of $2500.00
Cheaper than ones wine and beer budget during camping season. :wine:
So if you like create things? Why not a CycleKart?????
