It took some work, but I did my bottom with a roofing material called Peel & Seal. It is aluminum faced with a super sticky tar-like glue that holds really well. I started at the back and worked forward, so that I could overlap each layer. Added probably 50 pounds, but I am 100% certain that it is sealed up tight! Used as a roofing material and installed per the instructions, it is warranted for 20 years. It ought to last forever on the bottom of my tear.

Hard to beat the old roofing cement coating ( black nasty stuff) .... inexpensive , proven to work ... just takes a bit of labor to apply it ... We tried the spray can undercoating .... Nice , easy to apply , but not as secure as the BNS ... Way more expensive too for spray cans ... :o

Roller ??? That would be Nice huh .... You know ( or may not know ) last time we did a BNS roofing cement coating on a trailer bottom we used a wide putty knife to force the BNS into every nook and cranny ( What is a “cranny” anyway, or nook for that matter ? ) for complete coverage ... easier than trying to brush it on , even after we left the can out in the Sun to soften a while ... :o
