Thanks for the input. It is news to me that so many people have a problem with even the high frequency PWM.

Care to drop by BLF and comment or ask the question "why" there, as I don't know what changes you state would work better?

Price will be about $50 for those who join BLF and place their request for one or more before the light is ready for sale. I think it will be a great light.

The light will be sold later as a regular stock item; probably about $10 to 30 more.

That is approx $50 without batteries. There could be an offer for the lantern plus 4 of the required 18650 button top lithium cells, but I am not sure or what the extra cost would be. $20 - $25 extra???? it won't run on alkaline or eneloop, just the 3.6 volt cylindrical 18650 li-ion.
