Jumper packs

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Reviving an older thread because I'm looking for Christmas presents and these shirt pocket sized jumper packs might be the thing.

Already decided for family that I don't like, the Harbor Fright brand should do nicely :R

For folks I do like, including myself, I've looked at the You Tube reviews Tony posted above, and read some others. Can't seem to find the iClever brand on Amazon. The Audew 1500 A peak version gets good reviews, and they also have a 2000 A peak version. Does anyone have any experience with these? Has there been anything new in the field since January? Any ideas on the the product lifetime, if it's only used for emergency starting, and then not often?

I'm thinking of maybe the 2000 A peak version

https://www.amazon.com/Audew-20000mAh-S ... NrPXRydWU=

for our Taco, and maybe the smaller version

https://www.amazon.com/Audew-Starter-17 ... 563&sr=8-5

for my step son, who drives a Chevy Sonic.

Thank you for any comments!

Tom

I don't even see the one on Amazon that I have.

There are several good Youtube reviews on these devices. Maybe you've been there?

Now that you mention it, maybe my wife's car needs one...

Yes, that video and the other you posted last January were the most helpful Tony. Thank you!

I almost got suckered by several written reviews, where they give their top ten, but listed at least one brand highly that the guy in the video, doing the actual experiments, shows isn't so good. I now doubt those written review authors even touched a unit, but instead just read the specs given by the companies!

A present of one of these to Shelly is a present for myself if she ever has to use it! Might save me a rescue mission!

Ooops. I forgot I had done that.

I was toying with building a so-called solar generator in case we had a multiple-day power outage, we would at least have a way to charge our phones. But since I've got the jumper in the truck, I realized I could just bring it in and use it.

But you sure came up with a great gift idea.

Thank you! That's the "romantic" gift for Shelly, now I need to come up with the "practical gift"...
