* Among other more-or-less unique things, or at least unusual things, I've tried while trying to "perfect" my 4x8 square back (some that have worked and others not), here are 8 that I have kept unchanged after I added them. Others, unlisted, are still being evaluated and will be listed after 100% acceptance (I always have one or two redneck-engineered gimmicks being tested at any time!
That's one of the perks of building a trailer your own way, for your personal use, without caring if it meets with "her" approval! Being old and cranky helps, too.Semi-unique features (see my gallery and posts for detailed photos)1) onboard generator mounted on swivel/slide-out tray (plus external aluminum fuel supply tank, on separate slide-out)
2) aluminum tongue box on locking slide platform (for spare tire access)
3) interior permanently-mounted A/C unit, located in rear bulkhead, with right-angle ducting (for secure operation with hatch closed)
4) drop-down rear stabilizers (made from steel pipe and pipe clamps)
5) slide-in door barricades (made from 3/4" oak dowels and thick-walled aluminum brackets)
6) "industrial kitchen"-type stainless shelving on stainless hinges (for external front and side rack storage)
7) overhead-mounted grab-handles inside (to aid movement inside the cabin...bad back!)
