Awww, The post needed to be resurrected. It's a good topic.

And, Yep, I posted on this thread April 1, 2005. I thought I felt a little deja vu all over again ;)

I have 2 Austrian made military (6x6) offroad vehicles called PINZGAUER 712 and I live in Europe. The name is a combination of both.
I am thinking of using the TTT idea and build a shelter on the back of one. Avalable space is: 3 meter by 1.7 meter.

Regards,

Jacques

I chose Ivar the Red because my Great-Great Grandfather, from Norway, was named Ivar. If woodworking passes through the genes, that's where I got my skills, be that what they may. I still use a hand carved dresser that he made and brought with him from Norway. It's small but very detailed, the pulls are carved leaves,I'll post a pic of it sometime. Then a quick look at my hair, and you'll see where "the Red" comes from.

I'm a California Gold Rush history crazy person, so I like the year the gold rush really got going big time.

I to was not very creative, I used the first three letters of my first name. Most of my friends call me del, so if you ever meet me you know what to call me.

del

ps 90% of the people who know me, have no idea what my first name is, so do not feel bad.

Thirty years ago my cousin called me delmonte greenbean, she was a brat. Monte is not even close. My last name is easy, a common word, but chances are you have never heard my first name.

Mine isn't very complicated. When I had registered at another site, I couldn't use just Martha, my own first name, I added 24 which is the day of the month that I was born. Makes it easy to remember, simple as that.

I use 1armbandit on most of the other forums that I frequent, because...well... I have one arm.

But I wanted something more discriptive of why I was interested in TTT's and teardrops so "Too old to sleep in a tent on the ground and get back up again in the morning" was my first choice but it wouldn't fit in the blank.

That's how I ended up with "2old2tent".
