Mine is the initials of my maiden name, Sam is what my family and friends have always called me (very tramatic kindergarten experience when they tried to tell me my name wasn't Sammy). R is my last initial (didn't revert to my maiden name in the divorce for professional reasons).

I named my TD the Cajun Casa because I am from South Louisiana and a Cajun, as is my husband but his ancestors are from Pamplona, Spain, so that is where the Casa comes from. Cajun Lady is because I am from the swamp lands of Louisiana - and proud of it.

Mine is because I own a 1926 Ford model T that has been made into a victoria body style. Have owned it for 45 yrs. Am thinking about something a little newer. Looking at a 29 model. Roger

Sledge is my Stage name, (Musician) , in the 70's we was playing this big club, They was doing a Radio show and was asking us questions about where we got our band name . (BullRider) from the mechanical bull in nightclubs in those days..... they asked the lead singer what everyones name was , and when he got to me, he said and the Lead Guitar player is Sledge., that was it..... forever and always , I've been Sledge from then on.

Well, I couldn't come up with a name several years ago when we got our MINI, so I decided that MINI GRANI would be a good one since I have so many grandchildren and great grandchildren. When we got into TD's, I just changed it to Catoosa, (where we live), Grani.

This has been a great thread. Thanks for starting it... and thanks for bringing it back for us newer people. It is a lazy rainy day here and Iread through all of it, I found it quite interesting.

alas my user name.... is not the same [not that interesting]... it is just my last name. I have used it for most everything online. I don't seem to run into it being used by others... and generally I remember it

I kicked around using, "The Viking, Svensk, Ol' Swede, Gramps, Big Soup, Wood Butcher, Stud Man, Y-Knot, Woody Guy, and Ol' Carp". Then I figured I didn't care if someone knew my real name, and since I would have to wear a tie to be called, "Roland", I just decided to use my life-long nick-name, "Roly", rhymes with holy, but no connection. Last name's Nelson, hence.........The 1/2 Nelson Woody name.

Roly.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

JB Books was John Wayne's character in "The Shootist". It was his last movie before he died of Cancer. I am an active Cowboy Action competitor, and JBBooks is my alias.
