Good luck. Let us know how your journey goes, and continue to update your evacuation list. :D

Mike...

P.S. How far north do people go? I can't imagine that states like Ohio, Michigan etc are of any use.. they are too far north.

My daughter works for Tulane University and is part of the team assigned to evacuating the dorm residents. Right now the plan is to evacuate sometime Friday afternoon or evening to U of M in Jackson. Her fiance works for TUPD and is assigned to stay on campus through the whole event.

U of M? That sounds like Michigan... Of course, I know it can't be...

Just heard that there's not a motel/hotel room to be had in the entire state and surrounding area...except here of course...makes me EXTREMELY HAPPY to have a trailer ,and a place to stay... Might be a good time to be in Michigan ...

University of Mississippi!! I should have been more specific; there are lots of U of M's (University of Memphis just across the state line has an all right basketball team.... if you're into that sort of thing.)

We took the Generic ET, aka the Giant Teardrop out for a test run this weekend. It's comfortable beyond belief!!! There's a lot of work to do yet, as they say, the devil is in the details. But we are happy with the way the first weekend worked out. Here's a couple pics...

The dogs liked the arrangement too!

Oh, that cook table/sink arrangement on the side... I'm thinking about building the stainless steel top into the galley. The only apprehension I have is the hose that attaches underneath, leaks.

I bought this at Sams Club last summer. I haven't seen it since. The only thing I can suggest is search the web for something similar.
