Cleaned and restored the 1955-6 Chrysler Imperial 300 hubcaps, I plan to use on Miss Piggy.
Just finish my table mount and put in the headliner and we are ready to roll!

I was at the local scrap steel yard in Kelowna today and found the coolest door that would be great for a cargo trailer if someone wanted side entry, to add a galley???
Unfortunately I did not have a Camera with me.
Believe they where from a Boat production plant.

Started building my table (engineering as I go)!
Ran into the problem that put this project on hold months ago.......one of my key pieces of material was about 3 inches to short.
So off to the Dark Side (Kelowna) to pick up materials.
That was the first excuse that slowed me down....but the stressful drive across the bridge was my second excuse used to find the couch, then wine, then TV, then the Forum........so no table progress tonight!

Checked the wheel bearings today, appeared to be on the warm side on the run last weekend.
Smooth as silk.
When I think about it the ambient temps were in the 90s last weekend so I guess the road temp would have been way up there.
There was no smell of roast pork and I did not leave any skin behind when I felt them on the trip so I can assume they are good.

Simple T handle ( Model A Trunk handle) or garage door handle and latch with center excentric to move rods in & out to each side.
Simple rod recievers or hole if you are great at measuring on each side.

You should have seen these beautifull doors c/w flush mounted handles I saw at the scrap metal yard yesterday.
Will tke my camera next time I go to the Dark Side (Kelowna)
And you should have your side door lock. Go to your local Lordco Store and ask to look thru their Faucher cataloge.
They have an outlet in Vancouver......great selection of latches and hardware. And Cheap too!

Finally warm enough to spend a little time after work on the tear! Baby steps...
Today I installed the quick and dirty counter top. 3 vinyl flooring tiles on sale @ .99 each. Hey! I can live with it.
Also ordered my 12 gal. fresh water tank from a marine supplier. $99 bucks delivered!


I think spring may actually be coming!

Kelowna is the dark side for you Brian and Lordco is the dark side for me
Maybe a lock is a good idea for traveling but I don't really need one while camping
The flush mount handles sound like what I'm looking for

I sort of remembered that as I typed the suggestion but couldn't think of who else you could check out for a catologe.
Maybe they have an online catologe.
Or just drive in to Vancouver. They are just off the freeway to the right.
