And as an added bonus . . .when ya see one of those 'smart cars' coming the other way . . .just edge over to the white line and watch them drive on the shoulder!

Now you will have to find lead addtive to add to the gas tank.
Old greenie will be for show if I am guessing a few times out of the year!
Slow.

Yep, wrong again. All you have to do is replace the valve guides with Stainless Steel valve guides. I don't use lead additives in any of my vehicles.
Not a 56' but a good looking truck Mike.

Lead additives did boost octane, and shortened the life of engines, back before we new better.

There are better ways to boost octane, if you need it.

Yup, not funny. Twice while I been riding my road motorcycles, nice quiet Honda and BMW I had a pickup coming the other direction come across the center line at me. Had to hit the barrow pit. I have also had twits passing me pull some stunts trying to run me off the road.

Mike, that is one sweet ride. Brings back memories too, my dad bought a new green F-100 in '69. 390, auto Custom Cab. Even had a radio! That was the first vehicle I ever drove on the road.

Looks like someone upgraded the grill along the way, that one looks like a '72 (always liked that year grill better myself). And I still like that body, that was when they still had real style. Looks great with your Cardinal in tow. And I can believe that 429 would get it right now when you jump it!

As a cyclist and appreciator of smaller economical vehicles, I gotta agree with you on the not funny...

I was pretty sure you really wouldn't do it. I just wanted to bring up the fact that it does happen.

I just now remembered when I was driving in the redwoods area back in the early 80's Several times I saw a logging truck over taking a bicyclist and coming very very close to hitting them when there was plenty of room on the highway. It was very scary, for me. Hard to imagine what was going through the minds of the riders I saw. I bet there was a bunch of four lettered words.

If its the 429 with stock Ford Electronic ignition, you better go to NAPA and buy an extra ignition Module to sit behind the seat till you need it, which you will :D I can't count the number of times I had to replace mine. Just don't buy the cheap ones or you will be replacing it once a month.

P.S. That is an awesome looking truck!

No harm done! It's those "some that would," that you mentioned that make it tough to chuckle about such jokes even though I trust that you wouldn't...
