The difference between web sites

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Hi Pete,

I've been a lurker on both sites since we got our TD about this time last year. I guess I found myself here more than there because it seems easier to find technical information here. Maybe I just need to get used to the system of finding that info "over there"?

I may (or may not) have agreed with you about the friendliness-factor at this site vs "that other one" but these "unpleasantness" things seem to happen everywhere. As an example apparently now I'm a "log hole" for pointing out that the campground for an upcoming gathering is under a whole lot of water (we reserved a site back in January but the place has been under about 20 feet of water...).

Major flood damage is widespread, disaster areas have been declared, "please don't boat here" alerts have been issued (debris, wake damage), and the fish have scattered to hellandgone in the lakes all over the region but bringing it up makes a person like me a "log hole". Really? Should have kept all that a secret??? Whoa!

Anyway, I see what you are saying but I'd say it happens everywhere. People will put their own egos and agendas ahead of those around them. The internet affords them the bully pulpit to work from. I think it happens on websites everywhere.

One site better than the other? Yeah, I really don't know on way or the other.

Happy Trails,

"Log Hole" Pete
