At a recent camp out, a couple of us had issues with bears, 1 guy lost a window in his truck shell and both lost a load of food. While I don't know for sure if it works....I put out small cups of ammonia. I was camped with George and he had left food in the cab of his truck with the window open. We didn't have any problems, and I was sleeping with the door open. both Dan and Steve got a class session on camping in bear country. For 2.50$ a gallon, ammonia might be cheap insurance. As always....pick up your stuff, if you have neighbors that leave their stuff out, you'll more than likely be safe, and don't jack with a bear!

Just after 8 this morning I stepped out of the door of my shop and got brushed by a deer running wide open. The darn thing couldn't even wait for me to finish the tear. I don't know what spooked the crazy deer but he/she could have taken the pole at the next Nascar race.

Well, Mike and I can verify that the CASHCOW (with us inside it ) has survived being attacked by not only ONE bear but a mother bear and two or three older cubs. After a very LONGGGGGGGGGGG night (Sure was glad God sealed my bladder that night) Our brand new EzUP had a few huge slashes in it, truck was covered with bear paw prints, dog was still alive and well in the cab of the truck and the sun was finally up!!!! NOT fun but a funny memory and story now! CASHCOW is certified BEARPROOF!!!!

We were camping acouple days ago at a lake that is along a fire road in northern ontrio, we had been hearing noise in the bush all evening and did catch a racoon at the dirty dishes and thought that was what all the noises were from ... To our surprise the nextday we saw a young black bear down the road about 100 yards from our site !
I am sure now what we were hearing was the bear and not a coon !!!
Kinda made me think !!!
