I tow the Wazat's little brother, the Motomate with a 2009 Aveo. The car in the same class as the Fit and my trailer is 330lbs. It has been all over eastern Canada and the northeastern and midwestern US. The car is small and the trailer is tiny. I pack a roof-box, so the dogs have room in the back. It costs me a little bit of fuel economy. On flat land, there is nothing too it. When it gets hilly, I lose power. I cannot maintain 65mph/110km/h on the I-87 in New York or I-89 in Vermont. I've struggled to maintain 55mph/90km/h on Ontario Highway 17 west of Pembroke and on two lane roads in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and I was unsure I'd make it through the Kangamangus Pass, but I did with smoking brakes.
I honestly think that you would be crazy to tow a Wazat while carrying two adults and children if you value your transmission. I don't know what Minnesota geography is like. Since Minnesota is under Manitoba, I'm guesing prairie. You might be okay. It seems like an unnecessary risk. If I weren't upgrading the vehicle to an Equinox, I would be considering the Coachmen Clipper Express tent trailer.
