I have seen/heard that before. about 3 years ago we had thousands of snow rollers here. big fields filled with them. I had only seen a few isolated ones before.

I was going to mention snow rollers.

We have had them here twice. They said here it was like a 100 year occurrence. I had never heard of them We woke to find our house surrounded by hundreds if not thousands of snow balls every where. It was really quite freaky.

We were just out for another bike trail ride. The temps were in the lower 20's with high thin clouds so weak sun. We came across a couple of guys working in the woods.. in T shirts.

Get ready to throw things at me. I live in Idaho, 4400 feet elevation. I cranked up the riding mower this morning and mowed a bit of lawn. Next winter will probably be pay back.

Well Spring is officially here for us!
The late snow and cold that we got last week to end a bad February has all melted, and things are drying out extremely fast. We had opportunity to work outside quite comfortably yesterday in the sun. And this morning there is quite a breeze that is definitely going to finish off the remnants as we are in double digits temperature wise.
Now the pruning and farm chores can begin.
Daylight savings time kicks in tonight at midnight. So that will make the days feel longer and more productive.
Time to start "thinking" about camping season, rather than just "dreaming" about it on the couch.

No throwing anything from me.. I would rather snow bike ride, than mow my lawn any day.

Although the warmer temps and sun.. do bring a little spring fever.

trail riding in this stuff .. is cleaner and results in less maintenance… and NO Bugs.

Why are people wearing jackets?

Because they are thin blooded Californians. The same ones that move up here to Idaho and end up in the ditches at the first snow fall and complain the government did not plow that 1/4 inch of snow off the roads. YOU CAN'T PLOW 1/4 INCH OF SNOW, YOU SLOW DOWN AND 4X4 DOES NOT HELP STOPPING AT ALL.

Same story takes place back here in the East, especially in the lower northeast and upper southern states that in the past, do not get much snow. I say in the past because this year has been a bummer.

While we have had some warmish weather… on occasion getting above freezing and with a stronger sun.. some melting. We have another significant snowstorm in our forecast.

We are expecting 2"of snow tonight.. and another 10"-16" on Wednesday night.
