Hey James,
Got your galley figured out yet?
Like where you're gonna put that neat little range?

Actually no! i am waiting to get the range before I do any final designs on the galley. I have a rough idea that I will have a little sink with electric pump and some sort of ice chest. My electrical panel will be mounted above. Other then that, I have to get the range first.... Are you excited too?

My kids are excited, because that means pizza while camping.
(Don't tell them that I know how to do a pizza in a dutch oven, inside the barbeque, OK?)

I've got this pizza stone set up and my son wants me to cut it down to fit in the little oven portion of the range. Kai's wife said that she could do a 12" pizza in it.

Hey, if my kids are excited.... then I'm excited too.

Here is an update on my progress. The inside side wall skins are on and part of the front insulation and skin is on and I am working on the forward bench. If you remember I am working on the "Door is Ajar" plan. Keep in my son is almost 5 feet tall. The bulkhead between the cabin and the galley is up but is not skinned. The white chairs are in there to give you a perspective...

James W. and Dean

I have the stoves taped up ready to ship. My son is returning to the States in about a week. He will UPS them when he gets back.

Hang on, there is progress, slow as it seems at times.

Dean, I measured and I think the only way a 12 incher will fit is if you kind of trim the edges. However a 10 incher will fit perfectly.

Kai,

The size of the pizza, Right?
That's cool, I'll just make them rectangular. That's still better than what I can do in the dutch oven, as far as pizza goes for the kids.

As for me, don't sweat the ship date. My storefront supplier is shipping me an order today, (Or so they friggin' say) that should have been here on the 10th of August, so my hands will be tied over Labor Day weekend. (Sorry kids, No camping that weekend)
Big commercial building across the street from the Arcata Plaza, where the Kinetic Races start. You remember that, right?
(Personally, I think they had a way to turn up the volume of the noon whistle, for the start of the race)

Yeah don't sweat the ship date. I will not be ready for the galley for a couple of weeks.

Nice...where did you get the box? Thinking of the (2) 6v battery direction myself. :)

Nice site. It is a maze though. Can you help me narrow down the area of the site with the battery box?

Here is some more!

Postby JamesW » Tue Aug 24, 2004 10:17 pm

Here are some of the latest pictures. They are of the forward storage seat area with the hinged hatch and two vents installed. I also took a picture of the overhead light and vent fan. You also see the rear bulkhead. I am just beginning to frame there for the rear storage seat. Also notice the most important tool! Corona...

Dang! A outhouse seat built for (2)

Just joking, couldn't resist my first impulse. It does look real nice.
